When is the best time to trim/prune trees?
It depends on the purpose for pruning. For example, our most common service is a maintenance prune which starts with removing dead, diseased and broken limbs. This is most effective with leaves on the tree. Clearing deadwood only should be done in winter months. There are many other reasons for pruning.
